“Let’s keep it lowkey”
A collaborative entry with Tommo Jiang for Sachi’s Bay Dreams 2018 Outfit Design Competition.
Our sense of style has both produced a hybrid of elements that both compliment and subvert each other; Feminine vs. Masculine, Western vs. Eastern, Formal vs. Streetwear.
We want a set of outfits that retains the Kiwi/Aucklander charm but also exudes the avant-garde aesthetic that is associated with the duo’s inspirations (Kanye & Frank Ocean). We believe that this design echoes Sachi’s music which is a hybrid of genres featuring elements that juxtapose and synthesize at the same time.
